Zambian music sensation Yo Maps (real name Elton Mulenga) has officially taken his fight for fatherhood to court, seeking primary custody of his daughter Bukata, whom he shares with social media personality Mwizukanji (Prudence Nakamba).
Appearing before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court, Yo Maps expressed his desire to raise Bukata in a stable family environment alongside his wife Kiddist Kiffle and their daughter. He stated that he has consistently taken responsibility for Bukata’s well-being and has made efforts to be actively involved in her life.
However, the singer claims Mwizukanji has denied him access to their daughter on multiple occasions — including during holidays, weekends, and special events — without providing any valid reasons. To support his case, Yo Maps has submitted WhatsApp conversations as evidence, showing repeated attempts to reach an amicable co-parenting arrangement.
Backing her husband in court, Kiddist Kiffle described Yo Maps as a responsible and committed father, revealing that she often helps him ensure that maintenance payments, school fees, and other child-related expenses are paid on time.
The case has stirred public interest, especially among fans who have closely followed the dramatic relationship between Yo Maps and Mwizukanji over the years.
