Drake’s track “Shabang” has officially become the new opening theme song for WWE NXT, bringing the Canadian rapper’s music to the wrestling brand’s weekly show. NXT head booker Shawn Michaels announced the change on social media ahead of the programme’s Tuesday night broadcast on The CW Network. “Nobody does it quite like this crew. New music. Same show-stealing Superstars. ‘Shabang’ by @Drake is the new opening theme for #WWENXT. Turn it up!!” Michaels wrote. The new theme comes with updated opening visuals featuring NXT superstars and members of the commentary team. “Shabang” replaces “Millions From Now” by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne, which previously served as the show’s opening theme. The change adds another major hip-hop name to WWE’s entertainment mix as NXT continues to refresh its presentation for viewers. Fans can now expect Drake’s “Shabang” to set the tone as NXT introduces its superstars and prepares audiences for the night’s wrestling action.
